Iris Hospital is equipped with six state of the art operation theatres capable of performing all kinds of surgeries in a human body. All theatres have a dedicated air handling units to match the air exchanges and a special OT flooring, both as per the international infection control norms. All operation theatres are equipped with LED OT lights, good quality OT tables, diathermy machines, anaesthesia workstations, multipara monitors, defibrillators, warmer machines, central suction and all medical gases and well trained nursing and paramedic staff. We have the following OTs:

It’s an eight bedded fully equipped intensive care unit which functions 24*7, to manage all critically ill patients, post-operative patients and complex polytrauma and road traffic accident patients. The ICU has a dedicated air handling units to match the air exchanges and a special ICU flooring, both as per the international infection control norms. It’s equipped with ultramodern ICU beds (which can move the patient throughout the hospital including elevators without the need to shift the patients on a transport stretcher), ventilators, multipara monitors, Defibrillators, central suction and all medical gases, ECG machines, infusion pumps, warmer machines, ample storage space for safely keeping valuables of patient’s relatives, mobile phone charging facility and most importantly trained Intensivists, Medical officers and ICU nurses (available 24*7).

It’s a six bedded fully equipped emergency room which functions 24*7, to manage all the patients coming with both surgical and medical emergencies and complex polytrauma and road traffic accident. The management in ER patients is totally protocol based. We follow all international standard treatment procedures and protocols. It’s equipped with ultramodern ER beds (which can move the patient throughout the hospital including elevators without the need to shift the patients on a transport stretcher), spine boards with cervical collars, ventilators, central suction and all medical gases, bedside Ultrasonography and X-ray machines, multipara monitors, Defibrillators, ECG machines, infusion pumps, warmer machines and most importantly trained casualty medical officers and ER nurses (available 24*7). It has a fully equipped ER operation theatre right inside the emergency room. Here all types of emergency procedures and lifesaving surgeries are being performed. The emergency room also provides the Ambulance services 24*7 to pick up critically ill patients from their home for treatment at IRIS hospital. This ambulance is equipped with oxygen, multipara monitor with defibrillator, transport ventilator, suction machine and spine boards with cervical collars. In short it’s a full-fledged “ICU ON WHEELS”.

The hospital also has a dedicated radio-diagnosis department capable of performing all minor and major radiological procedures like all Xrays, Ultrasonographies, Doppler study, Barium study, Intra venous Pyelography, Sinogram, Fistulogram, OPGs, Mammography etc. The department is equipped with the most advance “Shimadzu High Frequency” Digital Xray machine, “Wipro GE Logiq F6” 4D Ultrsonography and Colour Doppler machine, and most importantly trained radiologists and technicians.

The hospital has an in house lab collection centre along with a fully equipped laboratory. The laboratory is affiliated with the renowned UNIPATH laboratory, Ahmedabad which is NABL accredited. The lab collection centre is within the OPD department, and provides a cosy environment with well-trained phlebotomists, to meet the comfort and convenience of all the patients. All routine and special laboratory tests of blood, urine and other body fluids (including histopathology) are being performed by the lab. The main laboratory is equipped with state of the art machines like Advia centaur XP, Immulite 1000, Architect 2000, Cobas integra, BN prospec Nephlometer, Agilent FTIR (stone analysis), G8-HPLC, Sebia capillarys (Hb electrophoresis), FC500 Flow cytometer, ABI 7500 RT PCR, ABL 3500 Sequencer, Agilent HPLC, BacT ALERT 3D, VITEK II, BACTEO MGIT and most importantly experienced Pathologists and technicians.

The hospital runs its own in house pharmacy 24*7. This pharmacy keeps ample stock of all routine as well as rarely prescribed drugs, injections and all the surgical items including implants used in surgeries. There is ample space to properly store preserve these commodities in a cool environment. The pharmacy supplies the medications directly in the indoor patient’s room, thereby the patient’s relatives avoid standing in long queues. The pharmacy store has round the clock availability of qualified Pharmacists.

The hospital has 15 air-conditioned cosy consulting rooms, with attached examination rooms and dressing rooms that maintains the comfort and privacy of all the patients and ample air-conditioned waiting lunges. These OPDs cater all diseases pertaining to the following specialities – Orthopaedics, General surgery, ENT, Dental.

The hospital has a dedicated 4 bedded physiotherapy department. The department is equipped with all the basic physiotherapy machines like Short wave diathermy, Cervical and lumbar traction, IFT, Paraffin wax bath, Ultrasound and Electrical stimulation.

The hospital provides a cosy, decent, spacious and homely accommodation areas. All types of rooms have an ultramodern patient beds (which can be moved all around the hospital including elevators without the need to shift the patients on a transport stretcher), ample space for the patient’s relatives to relax, decent furniture design, attached spacious bathrooms, ample storage space, with all routine household amenities like TV, refrigerator, microwave etc. The special rooms and suite rooms are pretty larger with additional facilities. All accommodation areas are manned 24*7 by qualified medical officers, trained and compassionate nurses and friendly paramedic and housekeeping staff. There are four category of accommodations available in the hospital:

The hospital has its own Central Sterile Services Department that functions 24*7 to provide sterile dressing material and surgical instruments throughout the hospital. It’s designed to match the international infection control norms. It has very clearly defined Clean (sterile) and Grey (unsterile) zones with a unidirectional flow of all material and manpower from Grey to Clean zone. The clean zone has a direct access to all operation theatres to supply ultraclean material directly to these OTS without using any other hospital passages. This department is equipped with both horizontal and vertically aligned electric autoclave machines, ETO (Ethylene oxide) machine, pressure washers, packaging machines, OT trolley wash areas and ample space for packing and storing clean material.

The hospital has a dedicated admin department to take care of all the managerial aspects of the hospital. It is manned by qualified accountants, HR people, people trained for mediclaim and insurances etc. We provide cashless insurance services to all our patients 24*7.

Apart from all the above mentioned facilities, the hospital also provides many other additional amenities keeping in mind the comfort of patients and their relatives. These are 24*7 functioning bed type elevators, 24*7 hot, cold and RO drinking water on each floor, clean washrooms on each floor (separate for male, female and the disabled), ample cosy waiting areas on each floor for the patient’s relatives and adequate storage space to keep their valuables, mobile phone charging facilities for OPD & ICU patients, lush green lawns and plants to stay close to nature, ample parking space both in basement and ground floor (separate for 2 and 4 wheelers).
